 Embark on an enthralling journey through the annals of human civilization in this comprehensive World History course. From the dawn of ancient societies to contemporary global events, students will explore the key figures, pivotal events, and transformative ideas that have shaped our interconnected world. Through immersive lectures, engaging discussions, primary source analysis, and dynamic projects, students will develop a nuanced understanding of the political, economic, cultural, and social forces that continue to influence our modern society.

Students will explore the origins and development of early civilizations, such as those in Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Indus Valley, and China, and explore the foundations and expansions of classical civilizations, including Greece, Rome, Persia, and India. The course will cover the rise and spread of major world religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the social and political structures of medieval European societies, Byzantium, Islamic Caliphates, and the Mongol Empire. Significant periods like the Renaissance and Reformation will be highlighted for their cultural and intellectual revolutions. We will investigate the Age of Exploration, the impact of revolutionary movements, the global conflicts of the 20th century, and contemporary issues such as environmental challenges, human rights, and technological advancements.

This course is designed for all types of students: those who struggle to find history interesting and those with a keen interest in understanding the past to better navigate the future. Whether you're an aspiring historian, a curious learner, or a global citizen, World History will provide the tools and insights to appreciate the rich tapestry of our shared heritage.

Coursestorm Online Enrollment is Free. Course Fee: $520/Honors $550. A $50 non-refundable course enrollment deposit will be billed immediately upon registration and applies toward your overall tuition.  The balance must be paid by July 1, or select a payment plan of $235/$250 (honors) payable by July 1 and November 1.
