Intro into World Religions

You may have heard it said, “They’re all the same anyway. Aren’t they just different paths to the same God?” How do we answer these and other difficult questions about religions worldwide? Intro to World Religions aims to understand the world's major religions, as the title implies. This requires us to take the time to learn and study them from the perspective of those who hold to these views. We ALSO seek to understand the religions we study through the lens of the Christian World and Life View, as revealed in the Bible, fulfilled by Jesus Christ. We will look at the founding and development of each religion and read some of the texts on which they are based. In addition to using texts and writings, we will examine modern-day media examples of each religion to understand better how to defend our faith in today’s culture. The World Religions we will explore include Biblical Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and many variants.
