Advanced Biology: Human Anatomy & Physiology is more than a science class—it’s an inside look at the incredible design of the human body and the genius of the God who created it.
Designed for students who have successfully completed high school biology and understand basic chemistry, this course takes you far beyond diagrams and definitions. Over sixteen modules, you’ll review cell structure, protein synthesis, and mitosis—then dive into the fascinating world of tissues (histology) and every major body system: integumentary, muscular, skeletal, nervous, endocrine, lymphatic, digestive, urinary, respiratory, and reproductive.
You won’t just memorize parts—you’ll discover how everything works together with precision and purpose. From the firing of neurons to the rhythm of the heart, every system reveals intricate design and intentional order that points back to the Creator.
Learning is hands-on and engaging. The student text includes study questions, illustrated module guides, lab exercises, and real-life case studies that connect science to everyday situations. You’ll complete microscope labs in histology and participate in dissections (sheep heart, cow eye, fetal pig) to see structure and function up close. Structural memorization, instructional videos, hands-on mechanical working projects, and lectures bring the material to life. Exercises from the Kaplan Anatomy Coloring Book reinforce understanding through detailed, visual learning.
If you’re ready for a challenge, an Honors option is available.
Come explore the complexity, beauty, and purpose built into every cell, tissue, and system—and see how studying the human body can strengthen both your scientific understanding and your appreciation for the One who designed it.
