Calendar Aug 20, 2024 at 12 pm, runs for 30 weeks

In this comprehensive exploration of health and well-being, we delve into all facets of human vitality. Our study encompasses physical, emotional, and social dimensions. We establish a foundational understanding by examining anatomy and body systems. A fresh perspective on diet awaits—while dissecting food components, we simplify dietary elements for accessibility.

Topics covered span a wide spectrum, including personal health care, pharmaceuticals, aging, alternative medicine, and the interplay between environment and health. Fitness is integral; students participate in regular aerobic and strength-building exercises. Students are provided pportunities to share favorite activities through teaching mini-lessons to the class. Students are exposed to group sports and activities, learning rules and playing together during in-person class time. The value of exercise for optimal brain function becomes evident.

Projects within the course offer diverse choices for learning: research, interviews, multimedia presentations, introspection, and more. Our reading materials incorporate cutting-edge research, and we encourage students to stay informed through media channels on health-related matters. Additionally, we explore societal and medical influences on diet and overall well-being.
